Handpacking Bath Bombs Vs
Using a PressI have done both hand packing with molds and I have used a press. Hand packing Bath Bombs can be very hard on the wrists and hands, and for someone who already has problems like Carpal Tunnel, it didn’t take much to convince me to use a press instead. The press made things quick and easy, less stress on my hands, wrists, and arms, I thought "Absolutely!" However, as with everything, there were pros and cons.
Although the press did make things easier, my personal experience with the press was negative. I discovered the bath bombs came out looser, lighter, and did not like to hold together. Now, because I use water to bring my mixture together, it can already be a little challenging. So my recommendation is if you would prefer to use a press, use something besides water to bring the mixture together. If using rubbing alcohol, witch hazel, or anything else, then the press should work just fine!
